I can't believe our baby is 2, but she is. We had a birthday party at the zoo. She had lots of friends and family there to help her enjoy pizza and cake...AND some fun at the zoo. Thanks to all our great friends and famiy who helped make it a great day. Sydney has been to several birthday parties lately and was thrilled to have "her turn". She is ALL about presents and gets so excited to see her friends. Here are some of the pics from the big day!!!

As most of you know, "Granny", turned 80 a couple of weeks ago. We had a big party in NC to celebrate the occassion. My sister made her the photobook in the post above. Here are some pics of the occassion. Gran was absolutely thrilled. She was beaming the entire night. It was awesome.
I saw these ideas for your iPod from Cookie magazine and thought I would share with those of you interested. As much as I love being a Mom, there are actually moments I don't want to listen to one more silly song in the car and I just want to crank up music that I enjoy. For those of you who know me well, you know the crazy variety of music I like to listen to :). Yes, it includes hip hop and yes, it includes country.
Here are a few grownup songs that Cookie magazine suggests grownups and kiddos can enjoy!
- Three Little Birds by Bob Marley
- If I had a $1M by Barenaked Ladies (love this song and have seen BNL in concert)
- A-Tisket, A-Tasket by Ella Fitzgerald
- My Doorbell by The White STrips
- L-O-V-E by Nat King Cole
- I Wish You Well by Bill Withers
- Sir Duke by Stevie Wonder
- Howling at the Moon (She-La-La) by the Ramones
- Child by the Five Stairsteps
- Caberet Hoover from the Triplets of Belleville soundtrack
I'm not sure that I'll load all these, but just sharing the suggestions. Shout if you have some favorites that need to be loaded on the iPod.

Trace loves teaching, coaching and helping others in general. He has been teaching at FHS the past few years and in his time there he's taken interest in many students. One student he's taken a particular interest in is L. Here she is WALKING across the stage, GO L, GO! We're all so proud of you.
